Rosemary Kitchingham
At the workshop I produce a unique range of yarns using wool from my pedigree flock of Shetland Sheep and other local breeds including Jacob, Wensleydale and Teeswater. I extensively use other fibres including mohair, Alpaca, silk, linen and cotton.
Many of the fibres are hand-dyed using plants grown locally and natural dyestuffs from around the world. I have an exciting collection of fancy yarns suitable for designer knitting and weaving. Rainbow dyed fleece is increasingly popular with spinners, feltmakers, embroiderers, art students and craft workers.
Commissions undertaken by arrangement. Tuition in handspinning, dyeing and feltmaking. Demonstrations a talks. Workshops. Mail order. Visitors are welcome to the workshop which is situated at The Old Signal Box at Station Workshops (behind the Village Hall adjacent to the car park).
