This present work is undeniably a history of a bus company, and includes all the known details that the most avid enthusiast would seek. Nevertheless, I hope that many of the people of Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby will find the story of “Heather” to be of real interest as a piece of local and family history. The names of Wright, Frank, Cooper and Stubbs will mean a lot to many families, as indeed will the names of all the local people mentioned in these pages.
