Guidelines for Teachers and Group Leader’s visiting Robin Hood’s Bay

The spectacular rocky shore and fascinating village history make Robin Hood’s Bay an ideal and popular destination for group visits. In recent years, however, the visitor pressure on this small community has increased considerably. During the summer, it is not uncommon for as many as 20 groups to visit the village in a single day, which is in addition to the many other tourists the village also attracts. This influx can cause congestion and other problems in the local community. Please follow these guidelines so that both visitors and residents alike can continue to enjoy this special place.

Take only memories, leave only footprints.
